Sacred Art of the Sanctuary

The Sanctuary harmoniously combines very diverse architectural elements. This construction is inspired by an Arabic style, due to the root of the name "Guadalupe," coming from that language, which means "River of Light." The floor plan is a Greek cross, the altar is Latin, and the "Fountain of Health" and baptismal font are of Nahuatl inspiration.

In the altarpiece, there is the majestic oil painting by Mr. Luis Toral, titled: "Health of the Sick," which portrays the miraculous healing granted by Our Lady to Juan Bernardino and the revelation of her name: "Saint Mary of Guadalupe."

A rich iconography is distributed on the walls of the naves, inviting contemplation of the Guadalupan Event.

On the left side of the presbytery, there is access to a passage that leads to the feet of the Virgin, the location of the representation of Juan Bernardino's hut; a space of reflection, suitable for prayer and gratitude.

Continuing down the hallway, you exit on the right side, where the Fountain of Health is located—living water that flows from the site, a sign of the Health that Our Mother offers us. Fountain of Health.
